Rev. David Straw
The Rev. David Straw is the second Rector (Primary Pastor and Leader) of Trinity Anglican Church. He is a lifelong Anglican Christian and was ordained in 2007. David served twenty years with the Indiana Department of Child Services, retiring as the Intake and Foster Care Supervisor for the third largest county in Indiana. Earlier in his ministry, he was a youth pastor, an experience that shaped his lifelong commitment to guiding people of all ages in their walk with Christ.
David has been married for 34 years and has four children, ranging in age from 31 to 9. Drawing on his family life and pastoral experience, he approaches ministry and care with thoughtfulness and compassion. He graduated cum laude from the University of Southern Indiana, where he was a member of Phi Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta Pi, and Golden Key Honor Societies, and completed his graduate work for the ministry at Wesley Seminary in Marion, Indiana. His combined experience in ministry and social work gives him a unique perspective on pastoral leadership, teaching, and care within the church community. |
The Rev. David HengThe Rev. Dave Heng is an ordained Anglican Deacon whose life and ministry reflect a deep commitment to serving God and nurturing community. With academic credentials that include degrees in Business and Biblical Studies, a Master’s in Ministry, and a certificate in Theology. He brings both spiritual depth and practical wisdom to his role.
Happily married for forty years, Dave is a devoted husband, father of two, and proud grandfather to five grandchildren. His ministry is grounded in faith, family, and the belief that meaningful relationships are at the heart of a thriving church. “Serving as a Deacon for Trinity Church has allowed me to share the promises of Christ with those in joy, grief, fear, and life’s challenges. It’s deeply rewarding to help transform our congregation from a group of individuals into a spiritual family, united by God’s grace. Traditional liturgy rooted in Scripture and the sacrament of Holy Communion can guide us toward deeper understanding and peace.” Dave’s presence at Trinity Church is a source of warmth, wisdom, and spiritual encouragement for all who seek connection, comfort, and growth in their faith journey. |
